So Far So Good

One side of my room

We just moved into our apartment about two weeks ago. We painted, put everything in our rooms and now we feel at home. At first I did not want to move to our apartment cuz the place we were staying had air conditioning 🙂 At first I didn’t want to move to Jimaní, but I didn’t want to move to Sosúa either, but I know I made a lot of friends there, and I guess living in Sosúa was preparing us for here cuz before we didn’t speak any Spanish, now I have a lot of Spanish speaking friends and so far one English speaking friend in Jimaní. It is a good thing they all live close to me and now I have a bike and I can ride it to their house every day. We normally come to my house to play with dolls or sidewalk chalk. My school is different here, my class room is really small, so it is really easy to remember everybody’s name. My teacher is really nice. Every Monday and Thursday (except for when it is raining or something) a lady that lives by the little church in our neighborhood, her name is Stephanie, she has a girls’ club, sometimes we have English class, I’m pretty good at that. 
