The initial program founded by John and Melissa Hanley in Jimani is a home for orphaned, abandoned, abused, or neglected children. Our home is in the final stages of accreditation with the Dominican Child Welfare Department and we work closely with the Child Welfare Department at both the local and national level to provide a home for children in heartbreaking circumstances.

Some children may stay with us a short length of time and other children may be placed with us as a long-term or permanent placement.

Our goal is to provide a safe, family environment for children that are unable to be with their biological family.  We live in a traditional home that has rooms for boys and girls as well as our shared family spaces such as a living room, outdoor eating area, and playroom.

Children attend local schools, after school activities such as sports, music, dance and receive tutoring.
