John’s primary duties revolve around the administration of the Community Health Center, Centro de Salud de la Comunidad, the center serves the medical needs of the community while always striving to build relationships to introduce people to the Great Physician who can change their lives and meet all their needs. The Health Center focuses on preventative medicine by teaching individuals and families the basics of healthy living. The center serves short-term medical teams that come to the Dominican Republic to provide primary and specialty care services. The center hosts educations seminars on variety of health topics serving both the Spanish-speaking and English-speaking communities residing on the North Coast. His administration duties also include Human Resources administration for the schools and payroll and accounts payable for all New Missions ministry activites.
Melissa coordinates the short-term mission team ministry activities as they join with us in our ministry on the North Coast. She coordinates pre-trip details with the assistance of the New Missions Orlando office and team leaders. Working with the various ministry leaders in the Dominican Republic she plans and coordinates the ministry for the time the team members are on site. Melissa loves children and is involved in the lives of many of the children that attend the New Missions sponsored schools and churches, regularly baking birthday cakes and providing school transportation to many families and children.
